Let Ajay’s score be x and maximum marks be Y.
Given that,

\frac{70 + 120 + x}{3} = \frac{60}{100} \times Y

\frac{190 + x}{3} = \frac{3 Y}{5}

\frac{70 + 120 + x}{3} - 40 = \frac{40}{100} \times Y

\frac{190 + x}{3} - 40 = \frac{2 Y}{5}

\frac{3 Y}{5} - 40 = \frac{2 Y}{5}

Y = 200 and X = 170
