A piece of jelly is kind of squishy but maintains its shape. It is considered to have a semi-solid state. 

Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. It is mostly found in three forms: solid, liquid and gas.

Solids have a definite shape and size because the force of attraction between the molecules is very strong compared to gases and liquids. 

Liquids have no definite shape because the molecules present in a liquid are loosely packed. So, the molecules tend to move freely.

Gas particles are loosely packed and have large spaces between them. This means they can be compressed easily.

Solid can be rigid or compressible. Some solids like sponge or rubber are not rigid and can be easily deformed or stretched.

Molecules of a liquid are loosely packed due to which it doesn't have a definite shape. But, the force of attraction between the molecules is strong enough that it has a definite volume and doesn't compress easily.

When a liquid is cooled down, the movement of molecules slows down.

The force of attraction between the particles of gas is very weak compared to solids and liquids. The particles in gases are freely suspended which allows them to flow freely. 

Solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances.  In a sugar solution, sugar gets uniformly mixed with water.
