according to the Swachh Survekshan 2017.

President Pranab Mukherjee has given a nod to an ordinance giving greater powers to the Reserve Bank of India to tackle mounting bad loans. The ordinance amends Section 35A of the Banking Regulations Act. The amendments to the Act will help the RBI resolving the bad loans problem.

The Agni-ll Ballistic Missile was successfully test fired at A.P.J Abdul Kalam island of Dhamara in Odisha by the personnel of the Strategic Forces Command of the Indian Army. The missile reportedly achieved its full range and splashed down at the pre-designated target in the sea with the high degree of accuracy.

international destinations with 16 foreign and 3 Indian carriers.

Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has presented Letters of Intent (LOI) to seven shortlisted entities under the 'Adopt a Heritage Scheme'. LOIs were presented at the closing ceremony of 'Paryatan Parv' in New Delhi on October 25, 2017. Under this scheme, Ministry of Tourism invited
private and public sector companies to adopt as many as 116 ASI-protected monuments/sites and to take up the responsibility for its maintenance,
conservation and development.

India's passport has been ranked 75th out of 94 countries with a visa-free score of 51, according to the 'Global Passport Power Rank 2017' by
global financial advisory firm Arton Capital. The list is topped by Singapore, followed by Germany, Sweden and South Korea. As per report, Singapore's passport is the most powerful ranking with a visa-free score of 159. Afghanistan was on bottom most position (94th) with the score of
22, while Pakistan was at 93rd Position with Iraq with the score of 26. The index ranks national passports by the cross-border access they bring,
assigning a "visa-free score" according to the number of countries a passport holder can visit visa-free or with visa on arrival.
