Area of a triangle formed by (x1,y1), (x2,y2), (x3,y3) is given by
12[x1(y2−y3)+x2(y3−y1)+x3(y1−y2)]
∴ 12[a(b−1)+0(1−0)+1(0−b)]=012[a(b−1)+1(0−b)]=0ab=a+b1a+1b = 1
