Let the initial velocity be u.
From the first equation of motion, v=u+at,
0=u+(−10×5)
⇒u=50 ms−1
From third equation of motion, v2 = u2+2as,
0=502+2×−10×s
⇒s=125 m
Therefore, the truck will stop after 125 m.
