Crops sown in winters and harvested in spring are called Rabi crops. They are also known as winter crops. For example: wheat, beans, and legumes, etc.

The green leaves of plants help produce food with the help of sunlight and chlorophyll. This process where green plants make their own food is called photosynthesis.

The lotus plants have hollow and spongy stem filled with air. This makes them light and helps them to float on water.

Plants of the same kind that are grown in a particular area or region at a particular season are called crops. On the basis of seasons, the crops in India is divided into 2 types - Rabi crops and Kharif crops.

The Kharif cropping season is from July - October during the monsoon season. They include rice, maize, sorghum, etc

Conifers are cone-bearing plants. Cones bear the seed inside them. Example of conifers are Pine, Redwood and Fir.
