Answer: Option C
:
C
Metamerism or segmentation is the phenomenon of having a linear series of body segmentsfundamentally similar in structure. The individual segments are known as metameres. However, not all these segments are entirely alike in any single life form because some of them perform special functions. Metameric segmentation can be distinctly seen in Annelida (e.g., earthworm) and Arthropoda (e.g., cockroach, prawn etc.). Most chordates too, exhibit segmentation at some point duringtheir life history.
