The first indication of the revolutionary movement in India was seen in?

Options:
A .  Maharashtra
B .  Bengal
C .  Punjab
D .  Rajasthan
E .  None of these
Answer: Option A
The Indian Revolutionary Movement was a part of the Indian freedom struggle which aimed at overthrowing the British Empire from India. The movement was initiated by a few young and restless Indians who were inspired by the revolutionary movements of Europe and America. The first indication of the revolutionary movement in India was seen in Maharashtra.
In 1857, the Sepoy Mutiny (also known as the First War of Independence) took place which was the first armed revolt against the British East India Company. However, the Indian Revolutionary Movement, which was a more organized and conscious effort to gain independence, started in the early 20th century.
In Maharashtra, a secret society called Abhinav Bharat was founded in 1904 by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and his brother Ganesh Damodar Savarkar. The society was aimed at overthrowing British rule in India and establishing a republic in its place. Abhinav Bharat had branches in several parts of India, and its members carried out a number of revolutionary activities, including the assassination of British officials.
Thus, the first indication of the revolutionary movement in India was seen in Maharashtra, with the establishment of Abhinav Bharat in 1904.
