Read the passage and answer the following questions:The Noon Meal Scheme(NMS) in Tamil Nadu has grown to gigantic proportion today covering students from pre-school to school children up to 15 years of age. Recent studies have seen positive impact in the nutritional status of the children due to the NMS. Sample surveys in the high literacy districts have concluded that NMS has a definite impact on school attendance and dropout rate.On the employment front, the NMS is claimed as the single largest employment programme for the rural areas with more than 1.6 lakh of people, mostly women, employed as organisers, cooks and helpers.The NMS is applicable to all the children in Tamil Nadu up to age of 15 years.
