However, with the onset of liberalisation the importance of globalisation through trade and making exports the engine of growth of economy has been recognised. Export promotion is now a continuous and sustained effort and specific steps in this direction have been and achievements have been made in recent years.Achievements made in the economic growth are attributable to maximum possible export and minimum or almost negligible import.
