A : B = 100 : 75

B : C = 100 : 96.

S0, A : C = \(\left(\frac{A}{B}\times\frac{B}{C}\right)=\left(\frac{100}{75}\times\frac{100}{96}\right)= \frac{100}{72}=100:72.\)

So, A beats C by (100 - 72) m = 28 m.
