A sum of Rs 77 was paid for a piece of work which A can do in 10 days, B in 15 days, C in 20 days and D in 25 days. Find the share of C, if all of them worked together.

Options:

A . Rs 12

B . Rs 15

C . Rs 18

D . Rs 21

Answer: Option B

Let the share of each worker A, B, C and D be a, b, c and d respectively.

According to the question,

We can write the following equations:

a/10 + b/15 + c/20 + d/25 = 77/100 (1)

a+b+c+d = 100 (2)

Solving equation (1) and (2) we get:

a = 40
b = 30
c = 15
d = 5

Hence, the share of C is Rs 15.
