Area of parallelogram = Base × corresponding height
Area of parallelogram = 8 × (1.75 × 8)
Area of parallelogram = 112 m2 .
Total cost of carpeting the hall = Cost per m2 × Area
= ₹ 2/m2 × 112 m2 = ₹ 224.
