Which is the least number, which when subtracted from both the numerator and the denominator of the ratio $\frac{80}{70}$ , gives $\frac{13}{11}$ ?

Solving conventionally,

Let x be the required number

$\frac{80 - x}{70 - x} = \frac{13}{11}$

880 – 11x = 910 – 13x

2x = 30

x= 15
