Vajji,
Malla,
Chedi,
Vatsa,
Kuru,
Panchala,
Machcha,
Surasena,
Assaka,
Avanti,
Gandhara and
Kamboja.
Literally, Mahajanapadas means ‘Great Kingdoms’.
