The curved surface area of a cylindrical pillar is 264 `m^2` and is volume is 924 `m^3`. Find the ratio of its diameter to its height .

Answer: Option B

`( pi r^2 h)/(2 pi r h)= 924/264`

`hArr  r = (924/264  xx2) ` = 7 m

and ,  ` 2 pi r h = 264`

`h = (264 xx 7/22 xx 1/2 xx 1/2)` = 6 m

`:.`     Required ratio = `(2pi)/(h )= 14/6  = 7/3` = 7 : 3
