Question
Running at a speed of 60km/h a train passed through a 1.5 km long tunnel in 2 min. What is the length of the train?
Options:
A .  250m
B .  500m
C .  1000m
D .  1500m
Answer: Option B

Suppose length of the train be lm
Time = Distance/speed
=> 1/30 = (l + 1500)/60000
Speed of the train = 60 km/h = 60 x 1000 = 60000m/h
Length of tunnel = 1.5km = 1500m
Time taken by train = 2min = (1/30)h
L =500
Hence the length of the train =500m
