Through the Gandhiji Pact, the Gandhiji Pact decided to suspend the Civil Disobedience Movement and the Congress decided to take part in the Second Round Table Conference. The terms of the Agreement included the immediate release of all political prisoners not convicted of violence, the remission of all fines not yet collected, the return of all prisoners. The Government also granted the right to make salt for consumption to villages along the coast, as well as the right to peaceful and non-aggressive harvesting.The failure of the second round table conference led to restart of the civil disobedience movement.
