In the cavalry of Shivaji, a Jumla commanded 5 Havaldars. The most significant part of his army was the Paga on state cavalry. There were two classes in the cavalry, the Bargirs and the Shiladars.
There were regular grades in the cavalry, the unit formed by 25 troopers over 25 troopers, there was a Havaldar. Five Havaldars were placed under one Jumladar and over 10 Jumladars, there was one Hazari, five one Hazaris were under a Panj Hazari.
