Let each side of he square be `x` km and let the average speed of the plane around the field be y km/hr. Then.
`x/200 + x/400 + x/600 + x/800 = (4x)/(y) hArr (25x)/(2400) = (4x)/(y)`
`hArr y = ((2400 xx 4)/(25)) = 384`.
`:.` Average speed = 384 km/hr.
