Question

A right cylinder vessel is full of water . How many right cones having the same radius and height as those of the right cylinder will be needed to store that water   ?

Options:
A .  2
B .  3
C .  4
D .  8
Answer: Option B

Let radius of each be r and height of each be h.

Then , number of cones needed  = (Volume   of  cylinder)/(Volume   of  1 cone)

         = `(pi r^2 h)/(1/3 pi r^2 h)` = 3.
