Q .The angle of depression of two ships from the top of a light house are 60° and 30° towards east .if the ships are 263 m apart . Find the height of the light house (take √3 = 1.732 )



CD = 263m
∠CAE = 60° = ∠ACE
∠DAE = 30° = ∠ADB
so we have to calculate Height of light house AB =?

So in △ABD according to basic concept-


CD = 2 part = 263m

BC = 1 part = 263 / 2

BC = 131.5m

Now if BC = 1 part = 131.5

so AB = √3 part = 131.5 * √3

so AB = 227.495

So Height of light house is 227.495m
