Answer: Option A

Let the  larger number be  `x`

Then , `x - 12` =  20% of  `x`  `hArr`  `x - x/5` = 12  `hArr` `(4x) /(5)`= 12  `hArr`   `x`  = `((12 xx 5)/(4))` = 15.
