Given that

Hence Q = 1 × 5 + 4 = 9
P = 4Q + 1 = (4 × 9) + 1 = 36 + 1 = 37
Now divide 37 successively by 5 and 4 respectively
37 ÷ 5 = 7, remainder = 2
7 ÷ 4 = 1, remainder = 3
