L.C.M of 64,80,96 = 960
960 cm=9.6 m
Least length of the cloth that can be measured = LCM of 64, 80 and 96
LCM of 64, 80 and 96 = 960
Number of times that the rod of length 64 cm has to be used = 960/64 = 15
Number of times that the rod of length 80 cm has to be used = 960/80 = 12
Number of times that the rod of length 96 cm has to be used = 960/96 = 10
Lengths of three measuring rods = 64 cm, 80 cm, 96 cm
Least length of the cloth that can be measured = LCM of 64, 80 and 96
LCM of 64, 80 and 96 = 960
Number of times that the rod of length 64 cm has to be used = 960/64 = 15
Number of times that the rod of length 80 cm has to be used = 960/80 = 12
Number of times that the rod of length 96 cm has to be used = 960/96 = 10
hence, 960/100 =9.6 cm (converting meter in to cm dividing by 100)
For least length of cloth that can be measured, we need to find the L.C.M OF these numbers.
L.C.M of 64, 80 and 96 is 960
therfore 960 cm or 9.6 m is the least length.
ANS= 9.6 m
