The sum of the number of boys and girls in a school is 150. If the number of boys is `x` then the number of girls

becomes `x`% of the total number of students. The number of boys is :

Options:

A . 40

B . 50

C . 60

D . 90

Answer: Option C

We hae : `x + x`% of 150 = 15=

`hArr x + x/100 xx 150` = 150 `hArr 5/2 x =150 hArr x = ((150 xx 2)/(5))` = 60.
