The diagonal of a square is `4sqrt(2)` cm. The diagonal of another square whose area is double that of the first square , is :
`d_1` = `4sqrt(2)` cm
`rArr area = 1/2 d_1^2 = 1/2 xx (4sqrt(2))^2` = 16 `cm^2`
Area of new square = (2 x 16) `cm^2` = 32 `cm^2`
`:.` `1/2 d_2^2 = 32`
`rArr d_2^2 = 64`
`rArr d_2 = 8 cm`
