The area of a circle is increased by 22Sq.cm when it's radius is increased by 1cm. The original radius of the circle is

Options:

A . 6cm

B . 3.2 cm

C . 3 cm

D . 3.5 cm

Answer: Option C

let the original radius be R cm then
=> = 22
=> 22/7 x (R+1+R) (R+1 -R) = 22
= 2R +1 =7
=> 2R =6
=> R=3 cm
