In an examination in which full marks were  800, A gets 20% more than B, B gets 20%more than C, and C get 15% less than D. If A got 576, what percentage of full marks did D get (approximately)?

Options:
A .  45.7
B .  51.2
C .  58.8
D .  61.7
Answer: Option C

A = `120/100 B, B= 120/100 C and C= 85/100 D`

`:.`   B= `5/6 A, C=  5/6 B and D = 20/17 C`

B= `5/6 xx 576 = 480;  C = 5/6 xx 480 =  400;  D= 20/17 xx 400 =  8000/17`

so ,Required percentage = `(8000/17 xx 1/800 xx 100)`% = 58.82%.
