Question
If ‘-‘ stands for 'addition', '÷’  for 'multiplication', ‘×’ for 'subtraction' and ‘+' for 'division', then which of the following is correct?
Options:
A .  25 × 12 - 14 ÷ 4 + 6 = 16
B .  25 – 12 + 14 ÷ 2 × 4 = 15
C .  25 – 15 + 5 ÷ 4 × 16 = 21
D .  25 + 11 – 4 ÷ 10 × 6 = 20
Answer: Option C
Answer: (c)
From option (c),
25 + 15 ÷ 5 × 4 - 16 = 21 (using VBODMAS rule)
⇒ 25 + 3 × 4 - 16 = 21
⇒ 25 + 12 - 16 = 21
⇒ 37 - 16 = 21
⇒ 21 = 21
LHS = RHS
So, option (c) is correct.
