Question
If A = '+', B = ‘-‘, C = '×' and D = '÷', then which of the following equations is correct?
Options:
A .  8 B 6 D A 4 C 3 = 15
B .  9 C 9 B 9 D A 9 = 17
C .  3 A 3 B 3 C 3 A 3 D 3 = 41
D .  8 A 8 B 8 C 8 = - 48
Answer: Option D
Answer: (d)
From option (d),
8 A 8 B 8 C 8 = - 48
from the question by changing the symbols, we get
⇒ 8 + 8 - 8 × 8 = - 48
⇒ 8 + 8 - 64 = - 48 (using VBODMAS rule)
⇒ 16 - 64 = - 48
⇒ - 48 = - 48.
Therefore LHS = RHS.
So option (d) is correct.
