i.e

3 \frac{1}{2} = \frac{(2 \times 3) + 1}{2} = \frac{7}{2}

2 \frac{2}{3} = \frac{(3 \times 2) + 2}{3} = \frac{8}{3}

, and

1 \frac{1}{3} = \frac{(3 \times 1) + 1}{3} = \frac{4}{3}

Total quantityof fruits = (\frac{7}{2} + \frac{8}{3} + \frac{4}{3}) k g

= \frac{7}{2} + 4

= \frac{7}{2} + \frac{8}{2}

= \frac{15}{2}
