Quadratic Equation

Fast trick to solve Quadratic Equation

Factorize the equation : 4x2 + 10x + 6

STEP-1

First of all multiply constant term and coefficient of x2 that is 4 so 6 * 4 = 24
10
24
(6 * 4)

STEP-2

Now split the coefficient of x that is 10 in two part so that their multiplication equals to 24 and their addition equals to 10 so
4 * 6 = 24 ( Constant Term )
4 + 6 = 10 ( Coefficient of middile term )

STEP-3

If we have the coefficient of x2 then divide the value of x with the coefficient of x2
so the factor will be-
4( x + 4) ( x + 6)

If we have to calulate zeros then-
4(x + 4) = 0 or 4(x + 6) = 0
x = - 4 / 4 or x = - 6 / 4
x = - 1 or x = - 1.5
