Fast trick to solve number system

Q .The difference between the square of two consicutive even integer is always divisible by ?

Let 2x is our first consicutive even integer (as we know any number multiply by 2 will be even number) and (2x+2) is our second consicutive even integer.

Now calculate the difference between square of both numbers -

( 2x+1 )2 - ( 2x )2

= 4x2 + 8x + 4 - 4x2

= 8x + 4

= 4(2x+1)

So the difference between the square of two consicutive even integer is always divisible by 4
