Mixture

Vedic Maths trick to find Mixture Problem

Two vessels A and B contain milk and water in the ratio 5:2 and 7:6 respectively find the ratio in which these mixture be mixed to obtain a new mixture in vessel C containing milk and water in the ratio 8:5.

Let the C.P. of one liter milk = Re 1 per liter

C.P. of 1 liter mix in (A) = x = Re 5/7

C.P. of 1 liter mix in (B) = Y = Re 7/13

C.P. of 1 liter mix in (C) = Mean price = M = Re 8/13

A:B = (Y - M) : (M - X)

A:B = (7/13 - 8/13) : (8/13 - 5/7)

A:B = (7 - 8 / 13) : (56 - 65 / 91)

A:B = (-1 / 13) * (91/-9)

A:B = 7:9

Ratio will be A:B = 7:9
