Height And Distance

Height and Distance in just 10 second

Q .On the Horizontal plane , there is vertical tower with a flag pole on its top.At a point 8 m away from the foot of the tower, the angles of elevation of the top and bottom of the flagpole are 60° and 30° respectively . Find the height of the flagpole (take √3 = 1.732 )

Horizontal plane AB =8m
CD = 8m
∠ABC = 60°
∠ABD = 30°
so we have to calculate Height of flagpole AD =?

So in △ABD according to basic concept-

AB = √3 part = 8m

AC = 1 part = 8 / √3

CD = 2 part =8 / √3 *2

So Height of flagpole is 9.2378752886836m
