Vedic Math's trick to find nearest value of area of circle

How we can find the nearest value of area of circle?

NOTE: This trick is only used for MCQ, so that we can find out the nearest value of the actual value of the area of circle.

STEP 1 :

First we will take a BASE VALUE like '16 cm'
Then find the actual value of area of circle using formula,

r = 16

π = 3.14

AREA OF CIRCLE = π r2

=> 3.14 X 162

=> 3.14 X 256

=> 803.84 cm2


STEP 2 :

Now we will put circle in to square and divide the square in to 9 small square part,
So, we will get Total square part = 9
Part covered by a circle is (9-2) = 7
Now we can say Area of circle = 7/9 part of the are aof square.


STEP 3 :

Now we will apply the trick to find the nearest value of area of circle.

AREA OF CIRCLE = 7/9 X 322

AREA OF CIRCLE = 7/9 X 1024

AREA OF CIRCLE = 7168 / 9

AREA OF CIRCLE = 796.44 cm2
