Find the angle between Hour hand and Minute hand of a clock when time is .

STEP 1 :

Angle traced by hour hand in 12 hours = 360o

Angle traced by hour hand in 5hr 10mint

510⁄60 X 360⁄12

Angle of hour hand from the 12 'o' clock will be :

ANGLE OF HOUR HAND = 155o

STEP 2 :

Angle traced by minute hand in 60 minutes = 360o
Angle traced by minute hand in 10 minutes is

360⁄60 X 10

Angle of minute hand from the 12 'o' clock will be :

ANGLE OF MINUTE HAND = 60o

STEP 3 :

Now subtract the hour hand and minute hand angles from the 12 '0' clock to get the angle between both of them.
