  • The candidate should be an Indian national or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or he should hold an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card.
  • The Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. He should also have to fulfill all the local/non–local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974.

TS EAMCET Exam 2023

1. TS EAMCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) for admission into various undergraduate courses in the field of Engineering, Agriculture and Medical in the state of Telangana.

2. The exam will be conducted in the month of May 2023.

3. It is a computer-based test (CBT) of 3 hours duration.

4. It consists of three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

5. The exam will be conducted in two shifts- Morning and Evening.

6. The exam will be conducted in two languages- English and Telugu.

7. The syllabus for the exam will be based on the topics taught in the 11th and 12th Class.

8. The exam will consist of 160 questions in total, out of which 80 questions will be from Physics and Chemistry, and the remaining 80 questions will be from Mathematics/Biology.

9. Each question will be of one mark and there will be no negative marking.

10. The total marks for the exam will be 160.

11. The minimum qualifying marks for the exam will be 25% for General category and 12.5% for SC/ST category.

12. Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology as the main subjects.

13. The result of the exam will be declared in the month of June 2023.




Exam Pattern and Syllabus of 'TS EAMCET Exam 2023'

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern

The TS EAMCET Exam Pattern is designed to evaluate the aptitude of the student in engineering and medicine. It is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). The exam consists of three sections: Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine.

The exam is conducted in online mode. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. There are 160 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There is no negative marking for the wrong answers.

Engineering Section:

This section consists of 80 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions are divided into two sections:

Section A: It consists of 40 questions from Physics and Mathematics.

Section B: It consists of 40 questions from Chemistry.

Agriculture and Medicine Section:

This section consists of 80 questions from Biology.

Syllabus of TS EAMCET

The syllabus of TS EAMCET is divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Physics:

The topics covered in Physics are Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves, Electromagnetic Induction, Optics, Current Electricity, Heat and Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, Measurements and Kinematics.

Chemistry:

The topics covered in Chemistry are Surface Chemistry, Atomic Structure, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Solutions, Chemical Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Coordination Compounds and Organic Chemistry.

Mathematics:

The topics covered in Mathematics are Probability, Vectors, Matrices, Differential Equations, Determinants, Complex Numbers, Integral Calculus, Linear Programming, Vector Algebra, Trigonometry and Statistics.

Biology:

The topics covered in Biology are Genetics, Taxonomy, Human Anatomy, Biochemistry, Plant Physiology, Ecology, Cell Biology and Zoology.

The students are advised to go through the syllabus thoroughly and prepare accordingly. They should also practice the previous year question papers to get an idea about the exam pattern and the type of questions asked in the exam.



Eligibility criteria of 'TS EAMCET Exam 2023'

TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) is an entrance examination conducted by JNTU Hyderabad for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Telangana. It is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission into B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch, B.Pharmacy and other undergraduate courses.

Eligibility Criteria for TS EAMCET Exam:

1. For Engineering/Pharmacy Stream - Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects from any recognized board of education.

2. For Agriculture Stream - Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects from any recognized board of education.

3. Candidates belonging to Telangana state are eligible to apply.

4. Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks in their qualifying examination (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates).

5. Candidates appearing for their final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for TS EAMCET.

6. Candidates who have passed intermediate vocational examinations are also eligible to apply for TS EAMCET.

7. Age limit - Candidates must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. There is no age limit for admission into Agriculture and Pharmacy courses.

8. Candidates must have studied in the state of Telangana for a minimum period of 4 years in the last 10 years.

9. Candidates who are sponsored by the Government of India for admission into Engineering and Pharmacy courses are also eligible to apply.

10. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from other states are also eligible to apply but they must qualify the local or non-local status test prescribed by the Telangana State Higher Education Council.

11. Candidates who are appearing for their final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, provided they produce a certificate of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

12. Candidates who have passed the pre-degree examination of Andhra University or any other university before the academic year 1983-84 are also eligible to apply.
