JEE MAIN Exam 2023
1. JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions.
2. JEE Main 2023 will be conducted twice a year in January and April.
3. The exam is conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test) and is divided into two papers - Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning.
4. Candidates must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to be eligible to appear for JEE Main.
5. The exam will consist of objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and each wrong answer will be deducted 1 mark.
6. The exam duration will be 3 hours for each paper.
7. Candidates who qualify JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
8. Candidates who qualify JEE Main will also be eligible for admission to various NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus of 'JEE MAIN Exam 2023'

Marking Scheme:
Paper 1:
The Paper 1 of JEE Main Exam consists of 90 multiple choice questions, out of which 30 questions are from Physics, 30 from Chemistry and 30 from Mathematics. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark.
Paper 2:
The Paper 2 of JEE Main Exam consists of two parts - Mathematics and Aptitude Test. The Mathematics part consists of 30 questions and the Aptitude Test consists of 50 questions. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark.
Exam Pattern:
The JEE Main Exam is conducted in both online and offline mode. The exam duration is three hours. The questions are objective type and multiple choice questions. The exam pattern is as follows:
