Agniveer Salary for 3rd Year
Agniveers who are in their 3rd year of service in the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy will receive a monthly salary package of Rs. 36500.
Out of this, a contribution of Rs. 10950 will be deducted as Seva Nidhi Package.
The Seva Nidhi Package is a one-time contribution that is deducted from the Agniveer's monthly salary towards a corpus fund.
The corpus fund is used to provide a one-time payout of Rs. 11.71 lakhs to Agniveers upon completion of their 4-year engagement period.
Apart from the salary package, Agniveers are also entitled to allowances like risk & hardship, ration, dress, and travel allowances.

Agniveers selected in the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy will enjoy various benefits as part of their Agniveer salary package.
The candidates will be covered under a non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 48 Lakh during their service period.
After completing four years of service, Agniveers will receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package of Rs. 11.71 Lakh without any income tax deduction.
25% of Agniveers will be enrolled in the regular cadre of service.
Agniveers will also be eligible for Risk and Hardship Allowance, Ration, Dress, and Travel allowances as applicable.
The candidates will have 30 days of leave during their service period.

Disability compensation is determined based on the extent of disability or functional incapacity
To elaborate on the last point, the determination of disability compensation is done in the following manner:
If an employee is rendered 100% incapacitated or disabled, they will be eligible for the full compensation amount of Rs. 48 lakhs
If an employee is rendered partially disabled, the compensation amount will be calculated as a proportion of the full amount based on the degree of disability. For example, if an employee is rendered 50% disabled, they will be eligible for half the compensation amount, which would be Rs. 24 lakhs.
The extent of disability or functional incapacity is determined by a medical board, whose decision is final and binding.

To elaborate on the entitlements, the following points should be noted:
The insurance cover of Rs 48 lakhs is payable to the nominee of the Agniveer in case of death during the engagement period on bonafide duty in Category 'Y' or 'Z'.
In addition to the insurance cover, a one-time ex-gratia payment of Rs 44 lakhs will also be made to the nominee.
The Agniveer's family will be entitled to full pay for an unserved period of up to four years from the date of death, including the Seva Nidhi component.
The Seva Nidhi component is a fund created to provide financial support to Agniveers in times of need. The balance accumulated in the individual's Seva Nidhi fund and the Government's contribution including interest from the Agniveer Corpus Fund will be paid to the nominee along with other entitlements.
It should be noted that the entitlements under this scheme are applicable only in cases where the disability or death is attributable to the Agniveer's engagement period on bonafide duty in Category 'Y' or 'Z'.
In the unfortunate event of an Agniveer personnel's death during their engagement period but not on duty, they fall under the Category 'X'.
The following entitlements are available for Category 'X' personnel:
Insurance Cover of Rs 48 lakhs.
The balance accumulated in the individual's Seva Nidhi fund and Govt contribution including interest from the Agniveer Corpus Fund. The balance amount will be provided to the nominee of the deceased personnel.
It is important to note that these entitlements are applicable only if the Agniveer personnel's death occurred while not on duty during the engagement period.
If an Agniveer personnel has suffered disability attributed or aggravated due to the conditions of their engagement, the following entitlements are available:
One-time ex gratia payment of Rs 44/25/15 Lakhs based on the percentage of disability (100/75/50) from the Public Fund.
Full pay for the unserved period of up to four years (with effect from the date of disability), including the Seva Nidhi component, from the Public Fund.
The balance accumulated as of the date in the individual's Seva Nidhi fund, including interest and the Government's contribution from the Agniveer Corpus Fund.
It is important to note that these entitlements are applicable only if the disability is attributed or aggravated due to the conditions of engagement.
